About
Alexis works well with people who have a strong desire to connect within themselves and between their most precious relationships. She believes the felt experience of belonging (community) is discovered within cultural experiences and identity development. She is mindful of every clients process and progress. Her intention is to create a safe and compassionate space for all people, particularly women of color and their loved ones know what it means to truly see themselves and feel seen in the world.
All health starts in the gut. That includes physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. I use Emotion Focused, Person-Centered, and educational approaches to assist individuals who want to explore personal challenges and gain a deeper understanding of self.
The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination. - Carl Rogers. Counseling is a journey, as a therapist, it is my pleasure to be a fellow traveler with those around me as there is no person immune to the inherent tragedies of existence.
