Are you feeling stuck? Are you struggling with debilitating thoughts? Finding it hard to create change? There are many reasons individuals seek treatment and regardless of those reasons I believe every individual can benefit from counseling. Whatever your reason is (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational concerns, etc.), my goal is to create a safe space where we can explore deeper underlying thoughts, feelings, and emotions that keep us from moving forward. My particular counseling focus is on thought processes and how those processes impact overall functionality.
I feel that every person's view of the world is different, therefore; I generally work within a Person-Centered framework. Person Centered counseling is individually tailored to address concerns most important for the client. Within that framework, I integrate a variety of other counseling techniques such as CBT, ACT, Somatic, Solution-Focused, etc.
I have 18+ years experience as a counselor. Prior to opening my practice in 2018, I worked at Asante Counseling Services for 10 years and spent 2 years working for Jackson County Mental Health. Email is often the easiest way to reach me.
