Everyone experiences difficulties throughout their lives and often times it is hard to ask for help. I approach therapy from an insight-orientated perspective which allows each client to discover their own path to healing while being guided and encouraged through goal setting, validation, and accountability. My ideal clients are those that like to be challenged and strive for long-standing changes in their lives, but also understand that therapy is a process and takes time.
I have extensive experience working with those who struggle with substance use/abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and self-esteem. Since there is not a one-size-fits-all therapy style, I believe in tailoring each therapeutic experience to an individual's specific needs.
I received my undergraduate degree from Northeastern Illinois University and my master's degree in Counseling Psychology with an Addictions specialization from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and look forward to working with you.
