Welcome! I'm so happy you are here. I specialize in helping individuals navigate and overcome obstacles that hinder their personal growth and well-being. By working through past trauma and "stuck points", I guide clients toward finding clarity, healing, and a sense of empowerment. If you are coping by numbing out with substances, people pleasing, or avoiding your emotions - I may be the therapist for you! I utilize a "bottom up" approach with somatic experiencing, as well as, internal family system themes, motivational interviewing and other evidence based modalities.
Somatic Experiencing is a form of therapy that is used to treat trauma and stressor-related disorders, through the lens of your nervous system. SE works to release stress that might get stuck - like that uneasy pit in your stomach that won't go away. It's difficult to "out think" trauma and stress without helping your body get the memo you are safe.
I am licensed in both Kansas and Missouri. You and I will work as a team to accomplish whatever goals you might bring into the room. You deserve an empathetic witness on board to process, problem solve, and build skills to handle whatever life has thrown at you. I’m so excited to connect with you!
