My mission and passion is to support your healing process and promote your well being through a compassionate, empathic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed lens. I work with individuals and couples who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, shame, grief and other life stressors. I have experience working with adults of all ages and have supported clients affected by substance use, domestic violence, and suicidal ideation, approaching crisis with support and nonjudgement. Additionally I support clients in navigating relationships, setting boundaries, and improving communication.
I utilize therapeutic modalities that complement each other such as IFS, Narrative, and Mindfulness techniques. Using these we work toward reconnecting to self, decreasing activation and discomfort triggered by our past and present experiences. Additionally I focus on contextualizing these experiences through an ecological or systems perspective.
I find sharing my identities and intersectionality creates a safer space for new clients interested in getting started, allowing you to get to know me before we meet! I belong to the QTBIPOC/ LGBTQ+ community and come from a multicultural background of Dominican and Greek immigrant families. I am open to sharing more as we get to know each other!
