Our past always affects our present; when we have unresolved traumas, our past can become our present. This can appear in a variety of ways from flashbacks to those painful events, to continuously ruminating on what happened and why, or even a constant feeling of unease. These traumas can be anything from navigating the world as a neurodivergent person to specific incidents of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse. I provide a space where we can identify and process these traumas so they can remain in the past. Without these intrusions from your past, you will have the capacity to fully engage with the life you want to live.
I incorporate a variety of experiential and somatic based therapies that include EMDR, IFS, and DBT. As a Gottman trained therapist I can also help with effectively communicating your newfound insights and needs. My role is to provide a secure place for you to thoughtfully explore your past, present, and future.
There is a way forward. Please reach out if it feels like life is to chaotic to manage due to complex trauma, addiction, sexual abuse, and/or relationship difficulties. As a queer neurodivergent therapist, I am especially welcoming to queer adults with autism and/or ADHD. I also work with MAPs.
