Hi, I'm Alexandria (Alex) Henson, LCPC, NCC here in Illinois! I meet my clients where they are at in their process by utilizing an eclectic approach where I take from various theories and modalities and use them together to best support you and your needs. I typically pull from CBT, DBT, SFT, and MI to best support you in your journey. I love the combination of eclectic therapy because one treatment modality doesn't work well for everyone. I meet you where you are, come as you are. I want you to feel you can be your true authentic self because I know that's how I like to enter the therapy space.
I love working with clients who experience anxiety, panic, stress, life transitions, grief/loss, trauma, identity exploration, addictions, and more. I work with clients from all backgrounds and upbringings and love fostering a supportive environment.
I love exploring what your goals are, and why these are goals you have, and then seeing how we can work collaboratively to establish and accomplish these goals. I look at the bigger picture and see how we can take goals and break them into smaller, manageable, and achievable goals.
