Hi, I'm Alex! I'm a limited license professional counselor (LLPC) with experience working with teens, adults, and couples in individual and group counseling settings. I am passionate about reflecting on how the past influences your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in the present, and how to create goals to realistically address struggles you may be experiencing. I also love working with LGBTQ+ clients or clients exploring their identity. My job as a therapist is to instill hope in yourself and confidence in your strengths as a human being, while also providing some new perspectives if needed.
I approach therapy with a humanistic and psychodynamic approach, which means that I believe you are the expert of your own life, and that helping bring awareness to your past experience can increase acceptance of your own anxieties and struggles in the present. In collaborating on treatment goals, I like to try a variety of strategies to find the best fit!
