Hi, I’m Alex! I specialize in working with adults and teens with anxiety and PTSD, as well as folks who struggle with big emotions. I take a cognitive-behavioral approach, meaning I work collaboratively with my clients to identify how what we’re thinking and what we’re doing affects how we feel. In a lot of ways, my job is to be my clients’ cheerleader as they accomplish their therapy goals. Therapy is hard work, and I'm here to support you as you make changes in your life.
Therapy works and you don't have to suffer. At the same time, engaging in therapy can be really hard - talking about the most challenging times in life or those thoughts you've never said out loud can feel impossible. But, I'm here to listen and support you as you learn new skills to learn how to thrive. Everyone deserves to live a life well-lived.
I'm upbeat and positive, and often incorporate humor when working with clients. I'm also direct and will challenge you to be the best version of yourself. I pride myself on being able to see the goodness and strengths in everyone (even when my clients have a hard time believing in themselves). If you're ready to change your life, I'm here to support you.
