Hi, I'm Alex. I work with clients who experience disconnection, shame, and guilt. Growing up, if we missed out on empathy, emotional validation, encouragement, or secure connection, we may be saddled with the belief that we are "not worthy", or "never good enough". We may struggle to accept our authentic self and struggle to find purpose. To feel confident and connected in relationships we need to keep showing up where we are fully seen and loved. I help clients work towards peace in their lives and oneness with themselves. I encourage clients to honor what once served them while letting go of what no longer serves them.

I work with adults, and young adults effected by cycles of trauma, addiction, and disconnection. I approach therapy from a relational, trauma-informed, and culturally competent perspective. EMDR and art making techniques are used for radical self expression, to update clients' survival brain "software" and complete neural network integration.

Prior to your first session, I share a questionnaire with you for you to fill out. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy, we'll identify your strengths and learning styles, and decide the way to proceed that works for you. In the first session I will review expectations for therapy with you, including confidentiality, limitations of therapy, and my practice policies.
