My ideal client is a child who either has suffered through trauma or has a hard time with their environment, making friends, anxious, or depressed. I enjoy interacting with the children, playing, coloring, and having a fun therapeutic environment.
As a counselor I enjoy helping children and adults learn about their emotions, identify their emotions, process the emotions, figure out the origin of emotion, and then work through the emotion. I have been trained in CBT, CBITS, some PCIT, and Play Therapy.
I was drawn to this profession since I was a young child, through my love for relationships, wanting to help individuals in a time of need, and my deep desire to understand emotional processes and healing. A wealth of personal and professional experiences provided me with the ability to understand common patterns which effect people in their life journey.
