It is during these trying times that counseling may be helpful to create meaning and find resolution in the chaos. As a counselor, it is my privilege to offer support during these times by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment to process these concerns.
Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you is crucial to your experience and success in therapy. I generally see young to mid-life adults and teens in my practice. Some common issues I see clients for are eating disorders/body image, anxiety, OCD, and trauma.
My approach to counseling begins with building a trusting client/therapist relationship. Therapy should be a safe place to process difficult emotions while being challenged to explore deep issues and create lasting change. I use a combination of therapeutic interventions during session that are specifically tailored to the individual needs of each client.
