My name is Alexandra Frerotte. I am a Bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, adolescents, and their families. I can facilitate, guide, and teach ways that are empowering and respectful for better communication and foster the learning of skills that will be of help in managing your life and achieving your full potential. The focus is to find mindful, age-appropriate, and constructive changes and how to maintain positive gains.
I was trained as a Family Therapist by Marianne Walters and received a Post Graduate Certificate which is pivotal to my approach. Firstly, a therapeutic relationship of trust, truth, and respect is foundational to a successful therapeutic relationship. I believe in a detailed intake so as to be able to come up with a comprehensive treatment plan.
The approaches I typically use are individual, family therapy, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy and internal family systems. I create a non-judgmental environment and allow a safe space for the client to express their thoughts and feelings. I am a team player and comfortable with multi-disciplinary team.
