Yoga for Body Image
Yoga therapy for body image is a specialized sequence to engage the union of mind and body. Body Image is the concept of how your body looks and changes based on your feelings about yourself. Body image is heavily influenced by environment, external messaging, and yourself. In yoga therapy we will explore one of the main tenants of yoga- do no harm to yourself or others. To set diet culture images aside, and learn to love and be kind to yourself. Being vulnerable is part of being your most authentic self, and that is what yoga teaches. Happiness starts within!
Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient
Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program is for individuals ages 16+ who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, are medically stable and in need of more structure to progress in recovery. IOP consists of: Therapy groups (skills, process, body image, experiential, relapse prevention groups), meal support, yoga therapy, weekly individual therapy, and weekly nutrition follow-up. We use evidenced-based treatments to work towards changing unhelpful behavior and thinking patterns, progressing forward in recovery and finding the authentic self. This treatment option creates more structure and support than outpatient therapy, or is a step-down from partial hospitalization and inpatient levels of care.
