Announcement icon I am currently offering telemental health services through MYBody's Business Zoom account for both individual and yoga therapy sessions.
Chronic illness, grief, addiction, disordered eating, trauma, can leave us with a sense of hopelessness, frustration and a hyper-vigilant/hypo-vigilant nervous system. Utilizing evidence based interventions, we can rewire the nervous system, unlock your value system, shift and exchange coping skills to find neurtrality, while exploring barriers and patterns of emotions, behaviors or thoughts, while creating space to increase and motivation and willingness towards your goals. Resiliency, perseverance, and hope are essential to healing, and I look forward to helping establish, build or repair your unique foundation of healing.
As a clinical social worker, certified drug and alcohol counselor, and yoga therapist I blend therapeutic interventions in sessions to create flexibility, balance and emotional intelligence to help client's navigate value based living and finding their unique definition of "wellness." I look forward to being part of your healing journey!
Individual therapy, yoga therapy and somatic experiences can be helpful for individuals looking to navigate mood disorders, body dissatisfaction, stress, grief, and trauma. Building trauma resiliency is done not just through talk therapy, but exploring the mind body connection. If you feel disconnected, know another way is possible. I'd be honored to assist!

Alexandra Crosson's Groups

Yoga for Body Image

Yoga therapy for body image is a specialized sequence to engage the union of mind and body. Body Image is the concept of how your body looks and changes based on your feelings about yourself. Body image is heavily influenced by environment, external messaging, and yourself. In yoga therapy we will explore one of the main tenants of yoga- do no harm to yourself or others. To set diet culture images aside, and learn to love and be kind to yourself. Being vulnerable is part of being your most authentic self, and that is what yoga teaches. Happiness starts within!

Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient

Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program is for individuals ages 16+ who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, are medically stable and in need of more structure to progress in recovery. IOP consists of: Therapy groups (skills, process, body image, experiential, relapse prevention groups), meal support, yoga therapy, weekly individual therapy, and weekly nutrition follow-up. We use evidenced-based treatments to work towards changing unhelpful behavior and thinking patterns, progressing forward in recovery and finding the authentic self. This treatment option creates more structure and support than outpatient therapy, or is a step-down from partial hospitalization and inpatient levels of care.
