As a clinical psychologist, I am deeply committed to helping people improve their lives. I am dedicated to helping people resolve their personal problems and alleviate personal suffering. For many people seeking professional help, my role is to facilitate: having a more enjoyable life, make better life choices, have healthier and happier relationships, and alleviate emotional pain through self-awareness and self acceptance. My practice involves psychological services to adults and adolescents. I work with individuals and couples, and I provide parent consultations and diagnostic consultations.
I have special interests in depression, anxiety problems and disorders, marital and relationship problems, and alcohol and substance abuse. I have had many years of professional experience helping individuals, parents, and adolescents. I also have interests in personal and marital sexuality issues, in addition to the problems associated with victimization.
Although I live and work on the Upper East Side, I have also had extensive professional experience with highly diverse groups of people both in New England and Chicago. As a New York State licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology, I have extensive training in diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy.
