Every client is unique and is facing their distinctive challenges. Therefore, each treatment plan should be personalized and individualized. An ideal client comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. The first session is about getting to know each other and understanding the reasons for starting counseling.
The therapeutic environment is a safe place for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered treatment interventions, and I have found that when using these interventions, people begin to realize the strength to overcome challenges.
Together we can and will find the right strategies that work best for you. There is not a "normal" or "standard" cookie-cutter path. It is a journey! I have experience working with issues such as grief, anxiety, anger, mood, neurological, trauma, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and more.
