Our thoughts, beliefs and bodies reflect our emotional struggles. We often come to therapy when old ways of coping aren't working anymore- when we long for comfort, relief, or more authentic and deeper connections in our relationships. The whole person needs to be addressed in times of crisis, transition and loss. Healing is a word derived from the German hailjan- “to make whole.” I work with a holistic, acceptance-based and contemplative approach to psychotherapy. Practicing self-compassion and self- acceptance lead to less reactivity and more peaceful, integrated and intentional lives.
My focus is to guide clients through life's challenging transitions- with greater acceptance and less struggle. I specialize in trauma, grief, loss- through all types of life transitions. I am a trauma and grief therapist as well as a mediator and parenting coordinator working with individuals and couples during all phases of the divorce process.
A holistic understanding of life changes (mind, body, spirit) lends itself to the work I do as a psychotherapist. My approach is warm, attuned and caring. Through acceptance and compassion- ease, purpose and wholeness are accessible to all of us.

Divorce & single/ co-parenting support for women
Doing intakes now for WINTER group. IN PERSON, in Peekskill, NY. Group will run for 8 weeks bi-weekly, on Weds evenings 7-8:30pm, This is a supportive, trauma-sensitive community for women to share & support each other through the rocky waters of divorce and co- parenting and processing grief as well as celebrating new beginnings. Alexa is a certified divorce coach, parenting coordinator & consultant as well as a psychotherapist in private practice. A brief intake is required to join the group.
