As humans I believe we are always working towards healing and positive self-growth. I create a collaborative, compassionate and non-judgmental space with my clients to help them discover why they are struggling and work towards their continued growth. I enjoy working with women-identifying people and queer folks that are 18+. I specialize in working with folks figuring out identity, experiencing relational issues, wanting to work on increasing self-compassion- especially related to body image, or better managing anxiety and healing from difficult experiences.
I use several theories in my work, depending on how I can best assist with your unique struggles. I am grounded in a person-centered approach, and primarily pull from EMDR, solution-focused and mindfulness-based therapies, while also acknowledging the oppressive systems that often contribute to the reasons clients are seeking therapy.
It is important to feel safe, comfortable, and connected to your therapist, in order for therapy to be helpful. Please send me an email or give me a phone call to see if we seem like a good fit.
