Parenting is NOT an easy task and we all know "it takes a village." I am here to be a part of your village. My name is Alexa Nava, Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist(TM) certified in Child-Centered Play Therapy. I have worked with children in multiple settings and with different backgrounds, including behavior problems, ADHD, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship problems, school issues, and trauma.
Play is the language of children. Play therapy allows children to explore, express, and heal in a safe, supportive environment with my guidance. Child-Centered Play Therapy is a specialized therapy that utilizes play as the primary means of communication for young children. For older children, a person-centered approach allows them to heal at their own pace.
My goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship that allows the young client to feel accepted, understood, and is given a safe space to process feelings in the moment. I invite you to reach out to me so that we can begin our work together in your child's healing journey.
