Therapy is hard work, but I believe you already have the internal strength you need, and I am here to help guide and empower you along the way. Instead of interrogating whether thoughts are true or not, I encourage getting in touch with the feelings, memories, and stories beneath the thoughts. Your past attachment experiences have shaped what you believe is true about yourself, others, and the world; these stories are often self-critical, simplistic, and unhelpful. I can guide you in identifying your personal values and intentions, and empower you to evaluate those stories in this new context.
I primarily practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and integrate other tools, such as art and somatic techniques. I am trauma and dissociation informed; informed consent is an ongoing practice. I am also training in couples and sex therapy. Let's discuss what messages you have received about your body, its functions, and your relationships.
I work with folks who present with ADHD (especially "late diagnosed"), anxiety, depression, career and relationship issues and people pleasing behaviors. I have an especially strong background addressing assertiveness, relationship skills, career exploration, neurodivergence, and sexuality and gender exploration.
