In person openings in VA.I believe in authentic, creative connection, deep listening, and honest reflection. I believe you are enough, just as you are, and that we weren't meant to navigate this journey alone. I believe our experiences, particularly traumatic ones, are stored in our bodies, and many times we are unable to access them through verbal expression. Art therapy provides an opportunity to explore the unconscious and parts of the brain where words might not exist. Somatic practices help strengthen the mind/body connection, welcoming the body's innate wisdom to assist in our ability to resource, regulate, process, and heal.
I specialize in supporting folks that are impacted by anxiety, trauma, loss, and chronic illness. Many of my clients describe themselves as creatives, change-makers, healers, survivors, or outsiders that have experienced feeling 'othered.' Many identify as LGBTQIA+ and thus my work is rooted in trauma informed, queer and gender affirming care.
