I work with couples, teens, adults and families. For Couples, I use the Gottman method.
I have worked in Wilderness Therapy, Adventure Therapy, Department of Human Services, Crisis management centers, and private practice.
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons and why you are seeking therapy is going to be an excellent starting point for our work together. Generally speaking, I do what we call talk therapy. How that looks will depend on your goals for therapy. Healing does not look the same for everyone.
I believe building a strong relationship with my clients is the vessel in which quality therapeutic work comes from. I will be unconditionally compassionate, empathetic, caring and nonjudgmental.
I use the Gottman method for Couples therapy, expected to complete Level 2 of Gottman training in March 2025.
Never been to therapy or worried what it might look like? You are not alone. We will take things one session at a time. For the first session, I will give you a good idea of what you can expect, what therapy is, what therapy is not. Just know that I am here for you and what it is that you want to accomplish.
