Finding the right supervisor is a crucial component for any new clinician and can be a daunting task. I have found that an important factor for positive clinical supervision outcomes lies in the rapport you have with your supervisor. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, supportive environment so that personal exploration, reflection, growth, skill development, and professional identity development can occur. This is an environment where clinicians can enhance their clinical skills and also feel comfortable enough to express their own feelings and experiences as they navigate through their own journey as a new clinician.
I work collaboratively with my supervisees to help support their goals. I help new clinicians with: meeting licensure requirements, case conceptualization, documentation, clinical skill development, guidance navigating difficult, complex, and/or traumatic cases, countertransference, boundaries, ethical decision making, and become proactive to combat burnout.
