Hi, I’m Alenka! I know that finding the right therapist can be an intimidating process, which is why I am all about making therapy a fun and empowering experience. It should be something that you look forward to, no matter how old. I am a firm believer that our past experiences shape who we are, our current experiences shape how we feel, and we grow by reflecting on who we want to be. Whether they are big, life altering moments, tough transitions, or just needing to talk, I am here to help you through your journey.

I am certified in several trauma-informed therapies, as I often find that trauma is at the source of many issues. I use an integrative approach, drawing from several therapies, including EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Person-Centered Therapy. My goal is that, whatever the problem or diagnosis, your therapy is always tailored to you.

I mainly work with clients who struggle with a history of trauma. Trauma can be a difficult thing to tackle, especially because everyone responds to trauma differently. I typically start off by helping gain an understanding of how the mind and body can be affected by trauma and other stressors, teaching skills to help ground and relax the body before discussing any sensitive topics.
