I work with adults on a variety of issues including anxiety, grief/loss, depression, stress, breaking unwanted habits, and trauma (including complex trauma) . I am dually licensed as a LCSW in both Tennessee and Florida, and I have over 25 years of experience in my field. I love sharing my knowledge of neuroscience to help my clients gain understanding, and to bridge the gap between what they know and what they feel.

Prior to beginning clinical practice, I taught high school students in Metro Nashville where I was fortunate to learn from the resiliency of young people. This invaluable time eventually lead me to pursuing counseling. My clinical experience has primarily been within community centers serving diverse populations, which has informed my perspective as a culturally-competent, dynamic practitioner. Who is this guy? Hello and welcome ! Here's my story: My name is Mark. I'm gonna go ahead and tear down some walls. I have ADHD. I am gay and also a survivor of gay reparative therapy and religious trauma. I'm an LCSW with 13 years experience working with adults and children in acute psychiatric care settings including psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms, and intensive residential programs for adults. The latter half of my career, I have honed in on providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adults in individual settings. I enjoy accompanying my clients on their unique journey to empowerment.

I offer clients wellness services, mental health therapy, and medical and neurological rehabilitation services that use traditional talk therapy as well as music and the creative arts as treatment tools. Most people suffer some form of it at some point in their lives. When left untreated, it can lead to more severe symptoms and a whole host of diagnoses. I practice primarily Cognitive Behavioral techniques. I will talk to you about your beliefs, expectations, and how you experience the world. I'll teach you to be more accepting of yourself, so you can stop judging and reacting from created stories. I will also help you improve foundational behaviors.
