Life is an ever changing process. Whether it is the people we surround ourselves with, the classes/job we work, or our own physical well-being, few things remain the same. Sometimes, these changes bring on new challenges we feel unprepared to deal with; this past year, the COVID-19 pandemic left several of us feeling alone and ill-equipped for what it brought. In times like these, therapy can be helpful in working through such issues.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the areas of depression, infertility, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues/boundaries, and grief. I am an advocate for those I work with, empowering them to find strength within themselves to become successful independently. However, I also enjoy problem solving and supporting self-determination. I am a realist, meaning that I do not expect that life will become easy or happiness will be immediately achieved, but I also feel nothing is insurmountable. I work tirelessly to improve the lives of the individuals and couples who see me because this is my passion.

I have a passion for working with children, teens, individuals, couples, and families that are struggling from life altering events, such as, physical and emotional trauma, substance use and abuse, addiction(s), marital and relational issues, grief, and or family conflict. I have many years of experience working with foster children/families, and 13 years working in a Christ-centered faith-based substance abuse rehabilitation program. I am very passionate about helping my clients recover from past traumatic experiences that have created long-lasting effects upon themselves and their relationships with others.

My ideal clients are adults (ages 25-38) struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, mild depression, and phase of life changes. My clients are navigating new chapters in their lives, including career changes, dating/marriage relationships, and changing family dynamics. They are motivated for change and open to feedback and alternative perspectives. They are seeking a telehealth-only therapist for added scheduling flexibility, confidentiality, and transportability.

Life is difficult and sometimes we need someone to walk with us through the hurt. I understand! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has a heart for coming alongside those who are hurting and providing a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients. I love working with individuals as well as couples! My goal is to make everyone feel welcome regardless of religion, sexual orientation, or race. I enjoy all of my clients and am competent to treat any mental or emotional disorder. I work primarily with adults. I do DBT groups for both professional women and women on disability. I am passionate about EMDR therapy and I train in TN, AL, GA, TX, KY and Washington D. C. also use Rapid Resolution Therapy with Clinical Hypnosis for a variety of issues including but not limited to traumatic events, addictions, stopping smoking and decreasing chronic pain. I do relationship counseling, parent education life coaching, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, grief and loss counseling, anger management, personality testing and EMDR.

I believe that clients have the innate ability to heal through accessing their innermost selves. Each client is traveling their own personal, interpersonal, and spiritual path and I act as a guide to help facilitate and co- create healing and wholeness. Through healing old wounds, past traumas, and solving relationship conflicts, I aspire to help individuals, couples, and families reach their highest potentials to aid in having richer and more fulfilling lives. My approach is Transpersonal, which means that I look beyond the ego into the spiritual to encourage wholeness in each client.

My goal is to help people identify problem areas and the personal strengths that are available to begin to address those problems. I also focus on helping people improve communication and relationship skills as a part of problem-solving. I treat individuals and couples dealing with depression, anxiety, grief/loss issues, substance abuse, communication and relationship problems, women's issues, adjustment problems, parenting, spiritual issues.
