I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method (for relationships), and other relevant skills to help you enact change. I work to establish an environment where you will not be judged but heard and understood.I have extensive experience working with individuals with mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use diagnoses. Treatment is client driven and focused. We will work together to achieve whatever outcome you are seeking. I will work with clients to identify issues, listen to their needs, and assist them with goal setting. We all have difficult times in our lives, and our reactions and thoughts can lead to or exacerbate anxiety, depression, and other unhealthy disorders. I work with teens and up, and I have extensive experience working with college students to help them find balance, motivation, and overcome their fears of "adulting." I use CBT, REBT and Reality Therapy. I believe it's not so much about negative experiences we have as it is about our ideas about these experiences. I teach how to reframe, set boundaries, and change how clients perceive situations to help reduce or remove negative emotions so they can live full and happy lives.
