Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I have always had a bit of a different approach to healing than traditional therapy. My studies have been both in counseling and in spiritual arts, including astrology, chakras and energy/sound healing. Each of us has certain patterns, ways we exist in this world. This brings us preferences and personality traits. I can help you to better understand yourself, your needs and to use your energies most effectively. Healing blockages frees you from past traumas and current emotional patterns. I can help you to shift your life to more ease, joy and peace through understanding and release.

I am accepting clients ranging from fourteen years of age and older. I work with individuals, families, and couples. Although I have experience treating an eclectic range of concerns, ideally, my clients may be facing symptoms of anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and PTSD. I have great expertise in treating dually-diagnosed clients, substance misuse, and mental health. The stress and hardships that come with these issues are often too much to handle on your own; please let me help.

We started this practice because we love what we do, helping people grow. Here at Blue Creek, we offer individual, couples and family therapy. We serve children, teens, adults and older adults. In addition, we offer comprehensive psychological testing services. We bring decades of collective experience but have different areas of expertise. However, our one common goal is for you to feel welcomed and understood from the moment you make contact.

I have a foundation in humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapies, I am trained in motivational interviewing, and have a specialty in dialectical behavior therapy. I treat mood and anxiety disorders, the impact of trauma, and co-occurring addictive problems. I also help with problems in self-perception, identity, and esteem. Specialty populations include essential workers, professionals maintaining wellness, balance, and recovery, perfectionism, and persons facing difficulties resulting from the impact of chronic bullying, feelings of emptiness, and/or feelings of purposelessness.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I know looking for a therapist can be difficult. I offer an empathic, non-judgmental, and supportive approach to every client I see. I focus in many areas of counseling, but most of all I take the time to get to know you and what will work best for you and/or your loved one. I approach every client as a valuable and whole individual who I am honored to work alongside in an effort to meet your/their therapeutic goals.

Are you struggling with depression and/or substance use? Do you feel hopelessness and helplessness, have poor sleep, poor appetite, and increased alcohol intake? Your Goals may be to improve sleep, use 2-3 skills to help identify and work through ANT/Cognitive Distortions, keep a food mood diary, and incorporate foods to improve mood. You may be seeking psychoeducation surrounding the effects of alcohol, including it being a depressant, identifying 2-3 techniques used to promote physical wellness, and using 4-6 days per week (cardio, yoga, stretching, etc.).

Sometimes, life is really hard. Difficult experiences and past traumas can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, shut down and alone. Relief and some hope would feel so welcome right now. Together we'll find a path to peace and balance. We will get to know the parts of you that may be carrying anxiety, depression, shame, fear, relationship issues, addictions, grief, loss, or other experiences.

There are many different reasons why someone would want to meet with a therapist, but it all comes down to addressing the pain and uncertainty of the challenges that come with life. You may need help coping with depression, anxiety, a very difficult experience you're trying to make sense of, or what feels like a broken relationship. You've probably done everything that you can think of to try to move forward, but you still just feel stuck. You need someone who can help guide you through this experience, and we're here to help.

My ideal client isn't defined by part of their identity as much as it is their circumstances. I consider a lot of social conditioning when working with my individual clients, especially with men's issues and women's issues. I work with couples who may be discussing separation or who are navigating parenthood and new life stages. My goal is always to help my clients access their vulnerability, which is where our most helpful tools hang out, so they can experience pleasant changes outside of the office.

Having extensive experience, I use empirically supported therapies, and have treated a wide range of ages as well as the most serious disorders. It is my belief that salient therapy treats a client in 3 different directions: top-down (spiritual dimension), inside out (healing of memories), and outside-in (Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). After a thorough assessment, I would identify with my client, determine problems on which to work, set appropriate goals, and determine the correct therapeutic intervention(s) to be used. Meeting those goals would be a therapeutic benchmark throughout the therapy.

My ideal client is an individual or couple ready to do the work needed to achieve their goals and who desires a happy, healthy life. They may want to work through relationships or sexual problems due to my interest in couples and sex therapy.

Sometimes it feels like the world just isn't made for us and no matter what we try, we can't seem to find a way around those things that prevent us from getting our needs met. I meet people where they are and attempt to take an outside perspective in helping them meet their goals as we define together. I also try to fully understand a person as it includes where they came from, decisions made through life, and influences outside of their control. I want to help you build the life you want with your own strength.

I am currently accepting clients both through telehealth and in person! My passion has been to help my clients manage their mental health and ability to grow from within. The clients I support are people who struggle with mental health issues, addictions, family, couples' concerns. I've helped clients successfully navigate through abuse and trauma, life transitions and grief and loss. I specialize in human sexuality: sex education, sexual dysfunction, sexual health, sexual pleasure, navigating sex after health crisis, women's issues, postpartum, miscarriage, LGBTQ populations, sexual trauma and sex addiction.
