Hello, my name is Dr. Sumru Tufekcioglu – a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst and teacher. I am an Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital where I have been awarded the Teacher of the Year Award in 2019 and in 2022. Additionally, in my practice, I train other psychotherapists and lead study groups.
I have multiple specializations in trauma, growth after traumatic experiences, interpersonal dynamics, and career and other life changes. I also have a business background and work with people in corporate careers or otherwise high-stress fields such as physicians and college/graduate students.
