Hello. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Boston, MA with over 20 years of experience in both clinical settings and private practice. My style is flexible and includes elements of psychodynamic therapy as well as solution focused techniques and cognitive behavioral therapy. People often find their way to treatment due to a life transition or circumstance in which the usual methods of coping no longer are effective. Finding a connection with a supportive experienced therapist can be invaluable in not only managing the transition but finding greater meaning going forward.

Together, we'll elicit motivation for positive change. If we're being real, life is hard. My goal is to create a therapeutic alliance and rapport with you based on unconditional positive regard. Whether it's mental health issues, trauma, grief, loss, substance and/or alcohol use, relationship issues, or a hard time adjusting, we will come up with a treatment plan and work on goals specific to your wants, needs, and dreams. Welcome! My practice is oriented towards serving persons who need support for coping with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, grief, and substance/alcohol use. My approach is concerned with creating a safe space in which you may share your current experience and history, and explore solutions, build skills, and engage in healing modalities. My clinical interests include working with adults, couples, and especially persons in the LGBTQIA+ community. I utilize a trauma responsive, strengths based, solution focused approach. I offer frameworks of compassionate self-understanding, and help people find meaning and purpose in living.

Limited availability for tele-health visits on Wednesday or Thursday evenings only. I am an experienced clinician who specializes in working with people who have been affected by a loved one's substance use. If you have tried everything to help your loved one and feel hopeless, frustrated, burnt out, fearful, helpless, are tired of advice by those who don’t seem to understand, and may not have benefited from self-help meetings, I am here to help. I also am a family member who has been impacted by addiction and I have both personal and professional expertise to assist you in seeing these challenging issues in a new light.

Nicole obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Prior to joining Recovering Champions, she served as the Executive Director at Spectrum Health Systems in Westboro, MA, where she managed and oversaw the operations of eight inpatient substance abuse treatment programs in Massachusetts.

Keith Lombard is a graduate of Umass Boston with a BA in psychology and attended the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counseling course in 2010. Keith has worked in the field of substance abuse for over 8 years and was employed by the Boston Public Health Commission before joining NEATC. Mr. Lombard has experience with individual and family counseling with the understanding that addiction is a family disease. Keith has received numerous awards for his devotion to helping those in recovery from city and state officials.
