VIRTUAL VISITS-Telehealth. We specialize in sessions via the internet on high encrypted, Hipaa Compliant systems (similar to FaceTime, Skype, etc.) It allows for same day sessions for clients who are not able to make it into one of our physical locations. Clients can use their phones, tablets, laptops, and PC's. When I meet a new client, I like to acknowledge that therapy is a courageous choice. Our first meeting is a time for me to learn why you reached out and what kind of change you are seeking. It is also a time for you to learn how you feel about me! If you return, then ongoing therapy sessions will consist of evidence-based practices that are specific to your goals and needs. We will measure and record your progress, so that you can make informed decisions about what works for you. Some people remain in therapy indefinitely because they like the ongoing support, while others exit after succeeding toward a specific, time-limited goal.

It is important for me to help you to see your potential. I understand what it is to feel stuck in our lives and lose motivation. When we feel disconnected from ourselves it is important to acquire deep personal healing. My role is not about creating a “new” you, but rather one of helping you find serenity and resilience in the absence of distress. I have been trained as a clinical social worker, addictions counselor, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. I utilize experiential therapies and EMDR to help people reclaim their lives. In my practice I focus on helping adults struggling with developmental trauma and PTSD, sex and pornography addiction, recovery from narcissistic abuse & traumatic bonding, and drug/alcohol addiction. Parents of addicted adults and folks with internet/gaming/screen addictions are also specialty areas.

My counseling focus is Marriage and Relationship counseling as well as depression and anxiety. I believe our core problems tend to stem from our desire to be validated and loved by others. When we do not feel worthy, "good enough" or loved we engage in self-protective behaviors (fight or flee), pain comes to the surface and we experience hurt, anger, anxiety and other destructive emotions.

I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years in a variety of settings including community mental health and state government employee assistance. I've counseled individuals suffering from mood disorders, anxiety, work related stress and trauma. Through my employee assistance work, I have helped those struggling to deal with secondary traumatic stress resulting from repeated exposure to stories about abuse and violence. I'm available to work with adults and adolescents.

With the increased stress, and exhaustion in routine life, meeting the demands of family, work, and personal goals, especially during the pandemic period, it gets difficult to cope. The restrictions of social distancing has further isolated individuals who are seeking support to manage their overwhelming psycho emotional state. This extent of exertion leads to mental health issues e.g., depression, anxiety. These individuals can be a wife, a mother, a student, a teacher, a doctor, or a mental health professional.
