I am a licensed clinical social worker who thrives to provide a safe and therapeutic working relationship with all of my clients. I have licenses to practice in both Kentucky and Ohio. Since 2000, I have worked in a variety of settings in both community and private mental health offices. My practice is geared toward finding solutions to address your underlying issues and accomplish goals we identify together. Therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

I love working with young adults (20s/30s) who are interested in experiencing more authenticity, freedom, and joy in life. I provide a safe space to process the fears that hold you back from living your most authentic life and will help you soothe and comfort the wounded parts of yourself that act out in fear to stop you from being fully you. We'll talk about how your less authentic behaviors are your way of trying to protect yourself from pain or rejection and discuss whether these protective measures are still necessary in your current situation. My goal is to help you develop more compassion, gentleness and love towards yourself.

Hello, I'm Naomi "Alix" Burke. When you schedule with me, you can expect a client-centered and empathetic approach that focuses on you as the client. I am dedicated to meeting you where are you are at and provide support, guidance, and motivation to achieve your identified goals. I am most experienced working with adults, and accept clients aged 18 and up. I am able to accept some clients ages 16-17 on a case-by-case basis. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, interpersonal issues, adjustment issues, personality and mood disorders, self-esteem, and stress management.

I work best with complex trauma (emotional and physical, including childhood neglect) and resulting anxiety and depression. I work well with grief related issues (complicated grief) and problems that arise from chronic illnesses.

I work primarily with couples and adult individuals. My experience has led me to individuals who struggle with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger-related issues. I also work with people who suffer from addiction and problems related to their substance use. Apart from working with individuals one-on-one, my time spent working with couples in relationship/marriage counseling has focused on communication, conflict, infidelity, parenting, and intimacy.
