My specialty client populations I have worked with previously are those struggling with addiction, those experiencing homelessness, and at-risk youth. Any goal, need, and challenge brought to me are met with the understanding that you are the expert of your situation. I will work to assist you through using the skills I have accumulated throughout my education and career to best serve you at your most vulnerable times while learning from your experiences to provide the best possible care and further assist where and when able. I have experience in both outpatient and inpatient counseling, as well as individual and group counseling.

Emerald Therapy Center, LLC is the premier multidisciplinary behavioral health organization in western Kentucky. Emerald provides behavioral health support at various levels across the continuum of care. We use four areas of wellness (Emotional, Physical, Spiritual, and Financial) to help clients function at their highest level. We promote that psychiatry, counseling, and therapy should be uplifting and encouraging. We want our clients to leave our facility feeling better than when they came in, regardless of the issue.

I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

We meet people where they are and help them move forward and achieve their goals. We are currently working toward a model of treatment that includes a more complete assessment including daily living, nutrition, physical activity, and collaboration with other providers. I work with clients to treat a broad spectrum of disorders including Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Marriage and Relationship, Grief and Loss, Depression, Parental Alienation, Family Estrangement, Personality Disorders, LBGQT+, Social Reintegration, Preventing Recidivism, Trauma Focus, Geriatrics, Teens/Young Adults. My goal is to assist clients in identifying triggers and stressors to their current life stressors as well as processing past trauma to assist in developing a plan for growth, healing and success. Providing an emotionally safe environment for you to process, cope, grow and heal!

I love my work and enjoy offering my clients a safe and supportive environment for them to grow and explore themselves. My style is both conversational and relational. I offer an authentic presence within a collaborative, lively relationship in which self-discovery can be non-threatening and perhaps, even fun. I am committed to sharing everything I know which I believe will help heal the difficulties in one's life. I am inspired each day by the courage clients have each moment they show up for therapy. I became a therapist because, to me, the value in life comes when you return to your value within.
