Since 2000, I have worked in a variety of settings in both community and private mental health offices. My practice is geared toward finding solutions to address your underlying issues and accomplish goals we identify together. Therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

My focus in counseling is to help people find what barriers they have preventing them from living the life they hope for. Everyone has their own unique situations and concerns they are facing, and once we identify these, we can work together to find better ways for you to cope and move forward from the sources of pain and stress. Whether it is addiction, harmful eating habits, mental health concerns, or issues related to sexuality and gender identity, my goal is to create a safe space where you can address any life issues or concerns without judgement and for us to work together on your journey towards healing.

I am a LCSW with more than twenty years of clinical experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, grief, and trauma. I also have more than ten years of experience supervising CSW's for licensure. My efforts are directed at supporting clients to find their own answers, gain insight and clarity, and ultimately promote their physical, mental, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing so that they may thrive.

Madison McKenzie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her master's degree of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. She has a demonstrated history of working with children, teenagers, and adults with a variety of life challenges, and is accepting clients ages 8+. Her special interests include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, eating disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety/depression, life transitions, dual diagnosis, and post-partum depression.

Life is a series of transitions - some peaks and some valleys. I find these valleys often are a result of internal conflict and external events or pressure. I believe that we all have an authentic self and much of the internal conflict comes from living inauthentically, which develops into maladaptive behaviors. There’s “the way it seems” and “the way it is,” and sometimes we all need someone to remind us of “the way it is.” That’s where I come in - my goals are to work TOGETHER with you to navigate a new path toward living your most authentic life and finding inner peace and confidence to be that person.
