Client's best suited to my specialties and approach are those that are honest, open-minded and willing to do the work needed to bring about healing and change. I am comfortable working with clients of any religion, spirituality, ethnicity, nationality, culture, accent, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, ability, disability, education level or lack thereof, political preference, style of speech and any kind of background, as long as they are over the age of 18. I have the most training and experience with victims of any kind of abuse and/or trauma, as well as those with substance abuse issues.

Dr. Navarrete-Aguilar and his team at the Counseling Institute of Atlanta are bilingual therapists (Spanish and Portuguese) who specialize in immigration-related issues. We have helped many clients and their families with their immigration cases. We can complete a clinical evaluation for Waivers, U-Visa, VAWA, Cancellation of Removal, T Visa, and Political Asylum cases.

Dr. Lawanda Harmon has been actively working in the field of mental health since 2010. With a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling obtained from Walden University, she began working at Community Friendship Inc. as an individual and group therapist. Lawanda continued to pursue her education at the doctoral level, obtaining a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Walden University. During her practicum and internship field experiences, she gained extensive training in Cognitive and Behavioral techniques as well as in Emotional, Personality, and Trauma focused interventions at Atlanta Center for Family Wellness in Atlanta, Georgia.

I am a counselor who specializes in helping clients achieve their goals. I offer a judgment-free, unconventional approach to counseling as I believe therapy should be tailored to the person asking for help. I firmly believe everyone does things in their own unique way and time so honing in on self-identified strengths assists me with helping clients improve upon what they may consider their "challenges".
