There are no preconceived notions about this journey however brief or extended." These are the words I have shared over many years of training young professionals. Though I treat all types of individuals, my area of specialty is complex trauma - borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and dissociation. I am intensively trained in DBT and have been practicing and teaching DBT for over fifteen years. My team is DBT by Design/South FL DBT Consortium.
My methods of practice are influenced by second and third wave behavioral therapy including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I am also certified in EMDR, and practice evidenced-based trauma therapies such as prolonged exposure and Written Exposure Therapy.
My partner in therapy is Biella, my Golden Retriever. She is an Emotional Support Canine and is a certified Canine Good Citizen. In 2018 she graduated to Service Canine. We are always training at DBT by Design!
