It is my belief that healing comes from within you, and within the context of relationship. I practice Somatic Experiencing therapy, which focuses on positive psychology and the concept of healing at a biological and nervous system level (reconnecting the mind and body as one). As a facilitator and witness to this healing, I have had the privilege of working with clients experiencing a variety of presenting issues. I aim to provide a space for you to be your truest self, to help you to create more balance in your life, to break free from old patterns, and to expand your natural capacity to heal.
I focus much of my work on treating substance abuse, trauma, behavioral issues, and interpersonal struggles. I aim to help clients navigate through the world with somatic awareness to facilitate healing from the traumas of the past. I believe in beginning with positivity, while increasing capacity for that which brings discomfort and struggle.
I have worked with incarcerated teens, as well as with teens that are in inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as their families. I graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in the Forensic Social Work Program, and I am a therapist for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (Juvenile Justice).
