Life can be challenging, and difficult moments can leave us feeling stressed, depressed, anxious, angry, and at times, all of those emotions at once. Psychotherapy can allow you to explore and identify unhealthy patterns in your life. Through this process, new coping skills occur so that you can feel better and healthier. My focus is on older adolescents, young adults, couples, and families who struggle balancing responsibilities, healthy relationships, and individualized goals. I work with a multicultural lens, and effective therapeutic approaches to ensure your values are honored, and goals are accomplished.
As a therapist, my job is to be a collaborative partner with you, and provide a safe and non-judgmental environment. My practice mainly consists of practical and effective approaches stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. My specialized approach allows opportunities to heal traumatic wounds, and grow from hardships.
I received my BA from UCLA in 2003. I then attended USC and earned my Master's Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health in 2009. I am fluent in Spanish and regularly collaborate, consult, and provide therapeutic techniques in English and Spanish.
