I'm Ashley Dixon, the face behind Fertile Ground. As someone who's not a big fan of traditional therapy myself, I get where you're coming from. But hear me out—I am not your average therapist. My goal is to help you navigate life's twists and turns without feeling like you're on a Shrink's couch (LOL). Whether it's tackling mental health struggles or sorting out relationship knots, I'm all about empowering you to find your way. No judgment, just a friendly ear and practical guidance. Together, we'll dig deep to uncover what's really going on beneath the surface. Trust me, understanding the why is the first step to finding the how.

My name is Aubri McClendon, I am 33 years old. I have a passion for helping people and that is what drew me to the counseling profession. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Montevallo in Communication Studies and my masters is from the University of West Alabama in Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an Associate Licensed Counselor, and I enjoy working with clients to help them reach their full potential, overcome mental barriers and work through past trauma to create the life they want. As an Associate Licensed Counselor, I am under the supervision of Dr. Kelly Owenby, LPC-S

Life is full of many challenges. You may be experiencing sudden life changes, need a safe place to process and heal from a traumatic event, coping with loss and need a place to grieve, and/or struggling with addiction or have a family member who is struggling with addiction and need direction. It is my privilege to provide a safe place to grieve, grow, heal, and learn for all of those who are in need.

Life is not always easy. Anxiety, depression, addiction, conflict, major life changes such as the death of a loved one, entering college, or divorce, etc., and every day stressors can result in loneliness, anger, compulsiveness, and a feeling of hopelessness.
