I take into consideration the body, emotions, mind and spirit, in order to identify barriers to living freely, peacefully and productively. Stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood changes, self-esteem, sexuality, divorce, health changes, relationships, and life transition are all "treatable".
I am skilled in "EFT"- Emotionally Focused Counseling, "EMDR" - Eye Movement Desentisation Re-processing, and teaching Mindfulness. What makes my counseling stand out is my additional education in the World's Wisdom traditions. I am able to employ traditional clinical interventions with spiritual methods in service of healing the whole person.
In particular, I bring EMDR to counseling as an integrated and complete way of therapy that addresses adverse life circumstance and trauma. I am also learned and skilled in Mindfulness practice, which lends itself to reduction in the symptoms of anxiety and depression, assists in clarity and focus, and contributes to increased feelings of well-being.
