Gail has over 20 years’ experience working with substance use disorder (SUD) and Mental Health clients in a variety of settings including detox, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient (IOP). She specializes in Relapse Prevention, Co-Occurring disorders and family programing. Gail is a graduate of West Chester and Eastern Universities and currently pursuing her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Gail has experience working with children, adolescents and adults.

Pat Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an experienced Interventionist, providing counseling services in the greater Philadelphia area. Pat has built relationships and studied alongside several predominant mental health professionals while employed in facilities treating clients for Substance Use Disorder throughout the region. Passionate about recovery, Pat Brown specializes in addiction counseling and providing support to families who seek to initiate conversations with loved ones through intervention services.

Judy received her Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at Chestnut Hill College. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Attachment-Based Therapy. She specializes in working with individuals who suffer from eating disorders, body dysmorphia, disordered eating, and those wanting to break free from diet culture. She is passionate about supporting others in finding freedom with food and body acceptance.

I am a passionate, client-centered, and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor. I strive to meet my clients wherever they happen to be in the moment of seeking therapy and help them get to where they want to be through using evidence-based interventions, encouragement, support, and empowerment. As a trauma therapist, I work with many individuals facing deep heartache and struggles that sometimes feel too overwhelming and scary. Trauma can be triggered from some experiences such as past abuse, grief, chronic illness, or being a witness to traumatic events. This can also lead to symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic, fear, phobias, irrational fears, and agitation. Trauma can also lead to negative coping skills such as addictive patterns and behaviors. I can walk alongside you in a journey of healing and assist you in coming to a place of safety and peace and help you overcome and move you towards a place of healing!

My ideal client isn't defined by part of their identity as much as it is their circumstances. I consider a lot of social conditioning when working with my individual clients, especially with men's issues and women's issues. I work with couples who may be discussing separation or who are navigating parenthood and new life stages. My goal is always to help my clients access their vulnerability, which is where our most helpful tools hang out, so they can experience pleasant changes outside of the office.

Overwhelmed with anxiety? Frustrated with negative thinking or persistent depression? Maybe you are stuck with sleeping or eating habits that don’t seem to change despite your best attempts. Effective therapy should help you understand exactly why these symptoms exist (likely a very valid reason!) and help you identify a different course of action that is in alignment with the way you want to live. My goal for treatment is to meaningfully reduce the impact of symptoms rather than just learn better ways to “cope” with distress. Although results-oriented, I value being compassionate, encouraging, genuine and non-judgmental.

Anxiety and stress affect everyone. Whatever the cause- relationships, school, work, medical issues, existential/spiritual crisis, loss of any kind- it can be overwhelming. Important obligations and events might be avoided, communication and connection compromised. Self-esteem, sleep, energy level, and mood all may suffer. We will collaborate to address the challenging areas of your life, manage stresses from your environment and body, and develop strategies to overcome unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior. Through this work it will be possible to experience relief, become happier, and evolve as a person.

Trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, has been keeping you from your life. Even on good days, your negative self-talk is hard on you. Everyone can be hard on themselves. It’s exhausting trying to anticipate when these feelings will come back again. You can’t trust your own thoughts. It could be that your painful past or current stress isn’t going away on its own. On most days it takes more than that. Feeling stuck in a vicious cycle with no end in sight, you know you can’t handle this alone anymore. Maybe since it happened, something very upsetting occurred, and it changed you. You’ll feel calm You’ll breathe again!
