Teen and young adult men and women collaborate with me in online counseling to explore, identify and implement coping strategies to improve or manage relationships, impulsivity, self-esteem, shame, grief, transitions, avoidance, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity and more. You'll identify and share your feelings and thoughts in a safe relationship. You'll develop skills to identify feelings and triggers; communicate effectively; manage conflict; reframe irrational thoughts; regulate emotions; change or leverage behaviors; increase distress tolerance; improve interpersonal skills and more.
Clients learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, self soothing, structure and organization, interpersonal/communication effectiveness and more. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, trauma informed care and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you gain insight and skills.
With calmness, warmth, humor and acceptance, I help individuals find their strengths, understand their challenges with compassion and improve behaviors, mood, cognition, school, career, relationships and daily activities. I am especially mindful of the ways that culture manifests itself in my client's lives through gender/cultural/racial/religious oppression
