Alanna Turner
Marriage & Family Therapist, MS, LMFT
I have about 6 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults with various challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and low self-esteem. I enjoy offering my general support and guidance while providing coping skills and challenging my clients to take steps toward a healthier existence. I provide a comfortable, safe, therapeutic environment for my clients and use a motivational, nonjudgmental approach to therapy. With children, I utilize play therapy and provide a variety of toys, games, arts and crafts, and sensory materials.
I teach my clients concrete ways to change their negative ways of thinking and how to put these new positive thoughts into action. I teach communication skills, how to increase self-esteem, I assign small tasks toward improving relationships, and I encourage clients to maintain boundaries and practice self-care strategies.
Be mindful of the strength you have for realizing that you need support today and for spending time searching for a therapist. Your life is worthy of living fully. Contact me for a free consultation today. Let's go on this journey together. You can do this! I look forward to hearing from you!
