I am most passionate about giving people the space to be listened to and understood. There are layers of emotions that one experiences in their day to day and being given the space to process them and understand them is a powerful thing. Emotional self-awareness is the foundation for great change because once someone becomes aware, they can make an active decision to be responsible in navigating their emotions in the healthiest ways possible!
I use a narrative therapy approach because the focus of narrative therapy is to externalize vs. internalize your problems and circumstances and reframe any negative labels that you may have given yourself because of the challenging experiences that you have had. This approach is meant to empower you to tell your story.
Therapy is a great space for processing emotions, establishing goals and taking actionable steps to creating and maintaining an emotionally healthy lifestyle.
