Thank you for visiting my page. I have been providing therapeutic services for over 40 years in both hospital and private settings. I can say that, at this point, nothing comes as a surprise to me! Over the years, my main focus in my practice has been substance abuse/addiction services, anxiety, and depression. This experience has provided me with the groundwork for understanding the multiple layers in which we all exist. Addictions, maladaptive behaviors, poor relationships, anxiety/depression and traumas are but a few of the issues that brought clients to my office.
What is therapy? Therapy is not a conversation that you have with your friend or relative. It is a process by which you, with the assistance of a professional, explore behaviors that have both worked and not worked in order to create a plan for a healthy and beneficial future. This is the service that I provide.
I want my clients to feel safe and supported and to know that each time they enter my office, you will be heard. So much of what we all want comes back to the desire to be understood and to feel confident in ourselves and our choices. In order to do that, we have to understand and trust ourselves.
