Stress, sadness, anxiety, relationship problems, loss, and challenges at school and work are problems we all face as human beings at one time or another. Yet, life doesn't come with an instruction manual, and finding happiness and well-being often seems difficult if not impossible. However, I believe that by understanding some simple principles about the mind and its functioning allows us to tap into our innate wisdom and common sense, make healthier choices, overcome challenges and experience more peace and contentment. I believe change happens in the present through insight, education and understanding, not by delving into the past.

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and have been working with preteens, adolescents, adults, families and couples on the North Shore for over twenty years. I have helped my clients with depression, mood disorders, stress, relationship issues, school problems and learning disabilities, parenting, addiction and trauma.

I provide psychotherapy and counseling in a safe and caring environment. But I realize overcoming challenges often requires a team approach, and accessing resources can be confusing and difficult. When needed, I help clients find and communicate with other helping professionals including psychopharmacologists, neuropsychologists, educational advocates and attorneys, schools and treatment programs.
