My practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality,professionally competent psychotherapy to adults, couples & adolescents with compassion and respect for each client's humanity and individuality. I believe in a collaborative process where we work together to determine what approach will be utilized to give you the best opportunity to successfully address your concerns. I provide clients with information and education about a variety of treatment orientations for a wide range of problems or challenges. This allows you to actively participate in an informed manner in choosing an approach that we determine is likely to be the most beneficial.
I provide several types of therapy including psychoanalytic psychotherapy, helping you gain a deeper understanding of your motivations, thoughts, feelings, behaviors & how you relate to others. This includes helping you gain insight into how previous experiences from your family of origin can continue to influence you in the present.
I also provide treatment for those individuals who have co-occurring disorders, sometimes referred to as dual diagnosis, when a person has both an addiction and another mental health condition such as depression or anxiety.
