Hello! My name is Alain (pronounced Alan), and I am a dedicated psychotherapist passionate about helping individuals understand themselves better. With two master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a master’s in Career Counseling from the University of Sherbrooke, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice. Outside of my practice, I enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, and engaging with cultural life activities that I sometimes integrate into therapy to enhance your well-being and balance. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic, and existentialist therapies to tailor my methods to each client’s unique needs. I specialize in addressing anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), men’s issues, LGBTQ+ concerns.
