My mission is to support people across different populations — veterans, athletes, couples, and children. Each of these groups experience trauma and distress uniquely, and my approach is both specialized and integrated. I work well with clients that struggle with anxiety, grief, anger management, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Clients I work with are seeking therapy to live a more balanced life in terms of coping with stressors that impact negatively on their social emotional well-being and create an action plan with them that will produce observable change so that clients can begin living with purpose again.
I work from a strengths-based perspective and provide interventions that are measurable and can be utilized in the daily life of a client. Based on the client’s needs, there are several counseling modalities, each with unique approaches to therapy that can be provided. Some of the modalities I use are CBT, DBT and Trauma-Focused Therapy.
My goal is to provide practical tools clients can use in their daily lives to improve their mental health and functioning in their lives. In partnership with each client, I offer a safe and supportive space grounded in empathy and curiosity that is free of judgement. I listen with intention, not to fix, but to understand.
