I am accepting new clients and can be a source of support for them in developing and achieving their goals. I work with clients who are experiencing grief, family conflict, excessive worry, perfectionism, and depression. I also work with clients who have experienced trauma in their lives in order to help them process this in a healthy way and move forward into a happier future. I am trained in EMDR which is a specialized therapy used to treat trauma-related needs. I enjoy working with children to help them learn to manage anger, distractions, hyperactivity, feelings resulting from divorce, and school problems.
I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, and families. In my work with younger clients, I want their caregivers very involved in the counseling process. I utilize both play therapy and family systems techniques in my practice. For my individual clients, I work with them to change negative thoughts into healthier and more positive ones.
I see therapy as a partnership between the counselor and client. The client is the expert on their life and experiences while the counselor brings clinical knowledge and unconditional support. Together we tackle the client's needs and help them feel more secure in their hopes and goals!
